About

Why Nomadmin Sorted exists

Relocating to a new country as a remote worker involves the same handful of bureaucratic steps every time — a visa, a tax number, a bank account, healthcare — but the actual how-to for each step is scattered across outdated blog posts, conflicting forum threads, and government pages that assume you already know the process.

Nomadmin Sorted exists to be the single, current, honest version of that information for two countries to start: Spain and Portugal.

What makes this different

Most relocation content is written once and never updated. Rules change every year — sometimes every few months — and fees get revised by ministerial order. We treat every page as something that needs re-checking, and we mark clearly, with a ⚠, anywhere the research surfaced a genuine ambiguity or a fact worth double-checking yourself before you rely on it for something as consequential as your visa status or your tax bill.

We’re not a law firm, an immigration consultancy, or a substitute for a gestor, contabilista, or lawyer. We’re the map that gets you 90% of the way there, so that the professional help you eventually bring in is answering your specific questions rather than walking you through the basics from scratch.

What’s next

The guides on this site are Stage 1. Stage 2 is a personalized, interactive checklist — tell us your country and your situation, and get a tracked, ticket-off version of exactly what applies to you. Get early access to that here.
